Rocky Patel-Vintage 1990

I have heard much talk of Rp decided it was time to try one of these sticks, wow im glad that I did.
Construction: In a word solid, beautifully made very smooth wrapper small veins. Dark coffee brown oily with no soft spots. A cigar work of art.

Pre Light: Light earthy aroma, not mouth watering but not bad at all.

Smoke: Easy light, volumes of creamy smoke sweet with undertones of vanilla and slight touch of cedar more towards the fruit. No harsh tobacco taste here. The ash is whiteish gray and hung on for almost the first third. The burn was as straight as anything I have ever seen , like it was cut with a razor. The draw on this cigar was like everything else on it not too loose and not to tight, just right. All in All the best cigar I have had from start to finish, not quite as much flavour as the oliva g series ( after the first third ) but the RP was good, not perfect but good all the way through. Smoke time was around 1 hour. I now want to try the oliva series G again to see if the first third of the last one was just a fluke. This is a cigar I will smoke again.

Winter

It was 23 degrees outside this morning at 5:25 A.M as I took my first walk of the day. Why do we torture ourselves with this winter time misery year after year? When not so very far away there are warm breezes and lush green landscapes, I hear South America calling my name (at the very least Florida or Arizona). Oh well at least there is a beautiful sun rise this morning, even if it only serves to illuminate my frosty breath.
