The next "best thing"

Its what makes me smoke a cigar, drink bourban , spend all day smokeing a pork butt. Yeaterday while I was smokeing a flor de oliva it occured to me one of the simple truths in life for me I love to chase the perfect cigar , the best cooked pot of rice Ive ever made, drive a car thats a little faster than the last one, in short the next " best thing". Yet another great thing about cigars they make you slow down long enough to see things which were right in front of you.
Speaking of cigars as mentioned above, yesterday I burned a FLOR DE OLIVA rubusto natural wrapper, what a great cigar and a great price to boot. Pre light was fresh and sweet like farm field in spring. The body was well constucted and firm no noticable defects. The pre light draw was a little loose but nothing to really complain about. Upon lighting I was greated with a pleasant cigar aroma which seemed to get sweeter as I smoked ( very earthy and sweet ). The flavour had hints of carmel whith some spice in the fist two thirds very nice if not just a little underwelmig, on the last third the flavor changed to almost like a Mocachino with some tobacco thrown in for good measure. Had to re light a couple of times, could have ben me, the ash was fairly long but a little flakey, burn line was nice and straight. All in all a very nice smoke, but after I finished went to work looking for the Maduro version of this cigar hopefully just a little stronger flavor. Come to think of it the "next best thing" , its one of the things that makes me want to get up every morning....
